Wow! I'm sorry it has been so long since I posted... I'll try to be better! :) I've been distracted with Christmas preparations and a new Nikon camera - what can I say! Well, at least the photos should start getting better!
This is a cute and quick card for your female recipents. It can be done in so many combinations of card stock and papers, the creative possiblities are endless. For this one I though I'd try a technique I learned about at the last Stampin' Up! Convention - Faux Alligator Skin. I think this is a perfect application for this technique.
This technique is one I taught at one of my Techniques Classes this past year. All you need is dark colored card stock, a Versamark pad, some clear embossing powder, and a bone folder or other pointy implement. First, cover the card stock with Versamark using the direct-to-paper technique, then cover with clear embossing powder. Using the bone folder, drawn wavy lines through the embossing powder in both directions, tip off the extra and heat. It's that simple!
